E-rate Resources
The following are links to other Websites offering information and guidance on E-rate:
This is the official website of the Universal Service Program for Schools and Libraries. It is comprehensive, but difficult for newcomers to find what they are looking for.
Sponsored by the State of New York, E-rate Central offers a wealth of easy to understand information about the E-rate program. It offers many tools and templates for school districts to use in applying for E-rate.
The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) report Focusing on Success: Examples of How the Universal Service Fund is Helping
Schools and Libraries around the Country, published in January 2006, gives examples of
the use of the program from every state.
Its survey of E-rate participants indicates that 93% of
schools and libraries responded that E-rate support is of "great" benefit
to them, 6% noted that there was
"some" benefit, and only 1%
said there was no benefit to their school
or library.
This report is 110 pages long and 10.4 MB in size.
